Welcome to GIVS
Gender Identity Validation Services, Inc. (GIVS) is a non-profit that promotes the health and well-being of gender diverse individuals through services designed to affirm gender identity.
We founded GIVS because, as parents of transgender children, we became aware of the hurdles facing gender diverse people, and were inspired to share what we learned and help others overcome these barriers.
GIVS provides the following services:

Assessments and letters of support for hormone therapy and gender affirmation surgeries

Lawyer referrals for name and gender marker changes

Resources and referrals
Everyone's gender journey is unique. In addition to these services, we offer referrals to local resources including trans-competent therapists and medical providers in Western MA.
We are pleased to provide all services at no cost.
Our work is fully supported by financial and in-kind donations from generous individuals and foundations.

Four of our five founding Board members are parents of transgender children with a variety of experiences and perspectives.
We all share a passion to support transgender and gender diverse members of our local communities. We plan to add to our Board in the future.

Advisory Council
The founders of GIVS recognize how important it is to consult with many different people as we build our organization. This includes transgender and gender diverse individuals from different backgrounds, attorneys with expertise in transgender rights, and medical professionals who are on the forefront of providing excellent medical care to individuals who are transgender and gender diverse.
